Disappointed/concerned that counter staff at Bath Wood St were not wearing facemasks to protect customers (on 21/1/21 at 16.00 hrs) at height of Covid 2nd wave

I have always found Bath BS staff to be very helpful and efficient, but in the current pandemic when I am inside shops, banks, building societies and other essential services premises I wear a mask, and I expect staff serving customers to do the same. See-through counter screens are not adequate protection, especially with regard to the more infectious variant of Covid-19 Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021
Reply from Bath Building Society I am sorry to hear you are disappointed, I can assure you we have strict Covid measures in place in all our branches, They are working on a strict two in two out system and we have the plastic screens in place to protect our staff and all our customers, we also have sanitizing stations at the front of all our branches, and we ensure all staff wash their hands regularly. We are trying to encourage our customers to only visit the branch if absolutely necessary and instead use our Bath online service or visit our website and talk to our advisors on Webchat, email or you can call us. Quick & efficient transfer

Seems like personal service - very good, thanks. The only trouble I've ever had is where withdrawls in the branch have not gone through smoothly due to some IT hiccup - so several transcations had to be reversed and done again, making a complete mess of the passbook - the various withdrawls, reversions & repeats are difficult to follow which is embarrassing for me as 'Treasurer' of our account when I try to expkain it Reviewed on: 19th January 2021

I welcome the possibility of authorising specified payments by e-mail - but this is only necessary because, unlike some other financial institutions - the BBS on-line system cannot cope where two signatures are needed to approve a payment. Reviewed on: 17th January 2021
Reply from Bath Building Society Good Morning, At the moment you are unable to request withdrawals on line if it is more then one person to sign for withdrawals, however you can set up email authority to request withdrawals as you mentioned , hopefully this can be set up for you to make withdrawals as soon as possible.
