Reply from Bath Building Society Thank you for your feedback. It would be really helpful if you could contact us to share exactly where we are failing you in terms of customer service. As to our interest rates we monitor them continually to ensure that they are competitive but clearly with the Bank of England rate at an all time low of 0.10% it is difficult to offer rates that you will get excited about. That said, we have this week increased the interest rate on our 60 Day account from 0.60% to 0.80% AER and if you keep an eye on your inbox I hope that you will be interested in some new savings products that we will be launching in the next few weeks. Recent ISA interest rate drop to 0.6%

Leaves me with little option except but to look elsewhere and transfer the majority of my considerable savings to another ISA provider. You should offer a more realistic and higher interest rate. Reviewed on: 4th June 2020
Reply from Bath Building Society Thank you for your feedback. Clearly it is disappointing that you have chosen to move your funds elsewhere. I can confirm that we did not reduce our rates by more than the Bank of England reduction of 0.65%. At 0.50% above the Bank of England base rate, which is what it was before the rate cuts. any company that uses the BofE rate reduction to drop interest rate by 1.05 % is economic vandalism, totally unnecessary.. Online saver should not have been discontinued for zero good reason.

the Bath has always been a good , fair society putting members interests first, unlike some competitiors. Now they have joined the list of greedy selfish societies, a bad reflection on current management. When will we see a reinstatement of the popular online saver, offering decent savings rates? Reply from Bath Building Society Thank you for your feedback. We deliberately discontinued the Online Saver account as part of a recent restructure of all our savings accounts. The reason we did this was that we do not believe it be fair to offer our best rates to a small number of our members who had the ability to access a channel that is not accessible to all. The result of this restructure was that over 70% of our members had an improved interest rate. All of our savings accounts can now be managed by whatever channel our customers choose be it in our branches/agencies by phone or via Bath Online. We now have a range of simple products with fair rates and I personally review these on a regular basis. If you do not need immediate access to your savings I am pleased to advise that this week we have increased the interest rate of our our 60 Day notice account from 0.60% to 0.80% AER.
