Credit Card refund issues

I made a booking which I cancelled and wait for the refund which I was due. Because the booking was made on a card which had been superseded by a new one, despite being told it should be fine, I couldn’t get the refund. 24/7 customer service just don’t pay attention and don’t get what I’m asking and getting through on the phone is so hard. Unable to get human help

When a renewed card failed to arrive in the post I did as instructed and called the number given in their email to me. This was hopeless. The voice response system wouldn't recognise anything I said. Neither would it work when keying numbers into my telephone. It insisted that I was entering invalid codes - which I was not as I could see the keys I had pressed displayed on my phone screen. The online chat was no better. I was unable to talk with an actual human being until my sixth attempt. It turned out that their systems required numbers from the new, replacement card - the one I was trying to tell them I had not received. My Halifax

Have found Halifax to be very good for sorting any banking problems out l would recommend all there products but not happy we lost our branch now have to travel 16 miles to a branch Reviewed on: 24th March 2026

Its a brilliant card for spending overseas.

Its a brilliant card for spending overseas, no extra charges. You can see the cost immediately via the App. Easy to make payments to from my regular bank. Overall very happy with the Card and Halifax. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026
