I opened a Flexplus account and saved £30 a month on breakdown cover and mobile phone insurance. Its excellent for £10 pound fee a month I also get family travel insurance and 12 months purchase protection on electrical products. Never had an issue oh and interest earned on balances upto £2500. Great customer service and excellent account

I have banked with Nationwide since I was a student. Their flex account is a fee free account and there is no monthly fee for going into an arranged overdraft as there is with some banks. You just pay a percentage based on how much you have used. I recently nominated my husband for a switch and we each received a £100 payment. In branch I always get excellent customer service. Have been with Nationwide for years. I find them helpful, efficient and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble and changing mortgages was a breeze. I've been with them for nearly 20 years and I wouldn't want to change as I don't think any other bank could beat them. Reviewed on: 18th April 2017
