Fairly new, fairly satisfied customer

I use this as a joint account but cannot get even a small overdraft or any frills on an account with Nationwide despite holding a good credit rating and the same facilities with other banks. I use internet banking which is fairly cluttered and have never had to use telephone banking. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Good honest BS, far better than any bank

I have been with the BS for almost 40 years. Though I have also held numerous bricks and mortar/telephone/online bank accounts, none have ever come close to the honesty and integrity, coupled with flexibility of the service invariably supplied by the Nationwide. Opened a new account and the customer service could not have been better.

I needed a new internet account earlier this year and had done a few reviews of banks. I saw that Nationwide kept getting good reviews so I opted to join them. I filled out all my details on-line and within a couple of days I had all my paperwork through. I went along to a branch with some ID and the following day my card was delivered. I use their site every day to check on my account and it is always quick and easy to use. I also registered for the telephone banking and when I phoned them I was through to someone within 1 minute and was successfully set-up in under 2 minutes, with no selling of anything else once I was on the phone. Just a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended, I am glad I chose them. Reviewed on: 21st December 2015

Brilliant quick help for customers

I had to change my name and address on my accounts, get new cards and add my new husband to my joint account. Once logged in at Nationwide you are able to message them. This avoids having to be stuck in a long chain of telephone callers then desperately trying to remember what security answers and passwords you've given. With a flex account you have a little card reader - you input your customer number online then put your card into the reader and input your pin. The reader then gives you a code that you input online. Quick easy and no risk. My messages are always answered super quick and the amendments that they were able to make we're done from my message. I've had my current Flexaccount with Nationwide since they introduced it about 30 years ago. I've never had any issues with Nationwide whatsoever and am totally satisfied with the level service and improvements I have seen over the years. Reviewed on: 22nd November 2015
