By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Easy to use and excellent value

I'm saving a considerable amount now due to working from home and not driving so often. However, even when things go back to normal i would still save money against a regular policy. The app is easy to use and great. No complaints and i would highly recommend. Reviewed on: 11th August 2020

It works for me especially in the time of Covid19 when I tend to stay close to home. When I occasionally drive to e.g. Taunton , when I reach 150 miles - the charges stop. Reviewed on: 11th August 2020

Perfect for those who don't do much mileage

My car insurance was still so high after a bump during the Beast from the East. On top of that it went up dramatically every year. I work remotely on a permanent basis and so I wasn't really using my car that much and begrudged how much I was paying. A friend recommended By Miles and instead of forking out nearly £100 a month, it's now less than £5 most months. I've spoken to them on numerous occasions and their Customer Service is spot on. I changed my car not long after the policy started and it was so easy to do! No faffing or extortionate admin charges like with other insurers. Highly recommend to anyone who doesn't do regular high miles (although saying that, even if I was to 10,000 miles a year it would still be cheaper than the cheapest alternative!) Featuring an intuitive app that allows you to track mileage as well as the ability to manage all aspects of your policy online. Easy access to the in-app chat service offers a quick response from one of the friendly and helpful advisors. Simple, effective and inexpensive

I'm very pleased to have discovered By Miles car insurance, which I joined two months ago. The service is excellent, and, as I drive a low mileage each year, it offers amazing value for money. Additional features are useful: I can see details of all my journeys, and, if I forget where I parked my car, I can find it via GPS on my phone. Reviewed on: 11th August 2020

Outstanding value for money

I now pay a fraction of what I was paying for previous fixed car insurance policies, by paying half up front and only for what I use each month in miles. It's just incredible that no other car insurers have thought of this before! Reviewed on: 11th August 2020
