By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Excellent customer service, fantastic rates for insurance for low mileage drivers

Its my first year with ByMiles and I must say that I am very pleased with the way my insurance has been setup and accuracy/timely calculation of miles with reasonable rates for clocked miles. It has paid a great deal of savings compared to other insurers in the market and it makes perfect sense and is only fair that you only get charged for the miles you drive as the risk for the claims is largely during the miles being driven. The help desk staff are extremely helpful when I needed advice. When I first joined I had trouble fitting the tracker device, but a kind and courteous man helped me to get it sorted. Great insurance coverage with minimum fuss

I have recently signed up to By Miles and the process was seamless and without hassle. I generated a quote online using their calculator and then got in touch by phone to clarify details. The process of getting in touch was totally hassle free again, unlike other companies that keep you on hold. I was up and running in just over a week. Have also had to get in touch a couple of times, and their smartphone app was been extremely helpful there. I have already started recommending the company to friends and family.
