By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Finally a car insurer that works for me

I don’t drive regularly, have a clean record and I am fed up with paying huge premia to keep my car sitting outside my house going nowhere. By Miles has been the perfect solution for me because it’s the only insurer I have found that really takes my low mileage into account. So far customer service has been excellent too. ByMiles has saved me so much money. Living in London and only using my car a couple of times of week for short journeys - paying by mile is perfect. The pricing is fair and transparen. Bymiles contacts you enough to give handy tips and points but not too much to be annoying.
