By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Good value if you only do low mileage

I have been with By Miles now for around 6 months and it has been totally painless. Plug the black box in and drive and then keep check of your mileage via the app. So far I am saving between £10 and £20 p/m depending on my use so very happy with that. Save a fortune

I have been driving 60 years without a claim against my insurance for having caused an accident. Yet companies keep demanding more from me. Perfect for those who drive less

We started using ByMiles for the first time this year and have saved so much money. The basic concept is the less you drive the more you save. Compared to some motorists, we hardly use our car so it was an obvious choice. You get a small device to fit to your car (literally took seconds to install and couldn’t have been easier) and then you pay an amount per month based on how much you’ve driven. I’ve only ever had cause to contact them once, but got through to a real person straight away and my query was instantly resolved. The app is pretty good too. Reviewed on: 17th August 2022
