By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

By Miles is super transparent with costs and this is very important for me. From the beginning it was clear how much my car insurance would cost upfront and how it would be calculated based on usage each month. The app and box are user friendly, they email me with details of my monthly bill in advance and their communications are engaging. In this Financial Times we are in we need to save as much as we can and this insurance company just does that.It has saved me a lot of money is very convenient you pay the mile you drive and it’s perfect for both who commute a lot and a little its perfect.I couldn’t recommend enough. I’d never heard of By miles before but the ease of communication with their staff and interaction has been outstanding and nothing is too much trouble for them.
