By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I have saved £££££££s with this insurance. You pay monthly by how many miles you drive. Even adding it up to a years worth of direct debits, its still miles cheaper then other insurance companies. Plus on the one off trip I had to travel 240 miles I was surprised at how cheap that was too. I have recommended this insurance company to family and friends. Me and my mum are insured with these. We share a car and although we have both driven for years, we were on others’ insurance so most classed us as first time drivers making it ridiculously expensive with ordinary insurance companies. Was a bit wary of the box at first but you don’t notice anything and monthly fee is generally less than the tax we pay on the car so we are more than happy.
