By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

My friends told me about By Miles in August 2019. When my renewal came up in September I thought I’d give it a go. I couldn’t believe my eyes, my insurance is a fraction of what it was - then the pandemic meant that my car was just sitting on the street for months on end - fortunately for me - By miles means I’m only charged for the miles I drive and a separate charge for the (insuring/boring) part! It’s great, I’d recommend them to anyone. I think all insurers will make their policies mileage based in future. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Was paying £53 per month for car insurance. Am now paying less than £15.00 per month. Only pay for the miles I drive. Would definitely recommend any one to swap to bymiles insurance and so easy to sign up Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Great service at a brilliant price!

I switched over to by miles a few months ago as not using my car as much due to covid. I expect to save around £200 this year as a result. Switching was easy and they send me a message every month to let me know how much I will be charged. Because I only pay for the miles I use it encourages me to use my car less so I tend to walk if it’s just a short journey which is also good for my health and the environment. Car Insurance I have been searching for! They are simple and straightforward. All the policies are in easy to understand language. The policy number is 3 words rather than letters and numbers. When I needed to get car insurance earlier this year I searched on a comparison site and By Miles popped up, and had a look and was interested as I I don't do lots of miles. my experience so far comes with positives and negatives which means I can give a well rounded review. By Miles all in all are an excellent company. I feel the idea of going by the mileage is smart and the way forward as it really does mean they’re meeting every customers needs in terms of cost efficiency & how they use their vehicle. When I signed up it was really simple and effortless, the app is excellent and someone is on hand to help straight away. Generally the people I’ve spoken too as well are so polite and nice. The only issue I have had, I was in a car accident a few weeks ago and I spoke to a couple of people who gave me misinformation and didn’t handle the situation great which caused me some more stress considering I’d just been in an accident. however I feel this is just a learning tweak for them and the lady who resolved my problem was sooo kind and helpful or offset the bad experience I had. I would definitely recommend and hope they take the feedback on board further to make them 10/10! As they are virtually there! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
