By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Flexible insurance

I've found using By Miles to be a better fit for me than traditional insurance because some months I will use the car less than others and it's nice that what I pay reflects this. I went with By Miles because my previous provider increased the cost of my insurance by £400 when I moved house and By Miles was the only provider to offer something affordable. It’s fair to say that By Miles has to be the smartest , innovative yet simplistic car insurance company I’ve dealt with . And I’ve been driving for over 30 years. A smaller up front fee and then a pay per mile model is as genius as it is simple. A simple plug in module (under the dash) has literally saved me hundreds of pounds the last two years .
