By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I've been driving over 30yrs and this is the first time I've found a easy no-fuss way of getting car insurance. During lockdown my work life was sparadic, driving one minute, not driving. I was told not to worry because it didn't matter how much I used my car I'd just pay for the mileage I done, regardless how many miles I done. Absolutely love the way it works. By miles has allowed me to save a lot of money on my insurance, as I have realised I do not drive every day or many miles. Great insurance product, service after accident average

The product itself is great, the opportunity to pay per mile whilst I haven't been driving as often is perfect. However I was in a no fault accident, and when I contacted the claim team to make them aware, they weren't sure about the answers to any of my questions. Saying I'd have to check with my insurer, hang on a minute aren't ByMiles my insurer? Apparently my actual insurer is Zurich... Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
