By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Brilliant value and a value added app!

Really impressed with By Miles. I like that the mileage is flexible, since nobody knows when we're heading back to the office and face to face meetings, and therefore I won't need to overestimate for my new policy and then try to claim anything back at the end of the year. As an added bonus, the app is brilliant so you can see the journeys done and what it cost, plan ahead and even run a diagnostic on the health of your car as the device is plugged into the appropriate diagnostic slot. The benefits on offer outweigh any other car insurance company. ByMiles was vastly cheaper for me for 2/3 years compared to any other company. Customer service is what you would expect and what you need if the time comes. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

I give bymiles 5 stars for the best prices around the cheapest quotes and rewarding long standing customers with rewards and duscounts. They have excellent customer service always polite and very helpful on the phone. They are quick to reply back with detailed responses to questions. Simple.. But effective!

I had a problem when I first signed up, contacted the team via the online chat and within 5 minutes everything was sorted! The app is very handy and easy to navigate. The added features such as: live code scanning and location are very useful. My car isn’t brand new so doesn’t have a tracked installed, *touch wood* my car doesn’t get stolen but if it does I am able to pin point the exact location for the police.
