By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Love the idea of only paying when I use the car

I have found By Miles to have saved me money. As a low mileage user, it is annoying to be paying the same for insurance as someone who uses the car all the time. With By Miles, I only pay when I use the car. Very easy to use and understandable app. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Great concept for car insurance

A little bit dubious to start as I hadn't heard of by Miles but so glad I took the plunge, it's saved me so much money as being retired I don't use the car too much. Pay as you go for car insurance brilliant, I have recommended to family and friends. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

It's a no brainer

You can control what your car insurance will come to every year and only pay for what you use instead of paying an inflated standard rate - it makes total sense. It's also handy being able to view your journeys and track where you car is. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

when renewing my insurance i found it costing much more. i amended my details as i would be driving to work much less post pandemic. ByMiles came top of the list by far. i was skeptics at first but i honestly save so much every month and i have my own little tracking device now too! small niggle setting it up but customer service was really quick to fix it. can’t see me leaving anytime soon! I think By Miles is a fantastic idea. It has saved me so much since I stopped my daily commute. I also love the fact that if I do go on a longer journey there is the 150 miles daily cap. I am trying to find a friend who would benefit from this so we can both get the £50 credits!! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Amazing company!

By Miles is the best insurance company I have ever been with! The cost is so low compared to other companies even when I have driven a lot of miles in a month it still is cheaper than I have ever paid with previous companies (which have been a lot) and when I got a new vehicle it took seconds to switch the policy over onto my new car. 10/10 service Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
