By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Excellent value and customer service

Provides a motor insurance model which is ideal for me. Basically it is a very fair way of calculating the premium on the basis that risk increases with miles. So brilliant value is provided. As this was the first time I have come across this model I needed more help and guidance which was provided quickly and in a very pleasantly by agents who appeared focused solely on providing a good and helpful service to customers. Amazing Insurance Company!

I have never been happier with an insurance company. The app is simple to use and it actually encourages me to walk to work some days to save some money! The tracker was easy to install and the rates per mile are great. Would recommend to anyone and I'll be renewing my contract once it's up! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Saved me loads of money

As I use my car very infrequently by Miles have proved to be so much cheaper for me than conventional insurers I have used in the past. Despite being cheaper the service is excellent, I was unlucky enough to be involved in an accident and it was dealt with very efficiently. I would recommend By Miles to anyone who has low mileage. No hesitation

Being a low mileage driver I thought why not il give it a try nothing to use. This is my 2nd year as a By Miles member, and won't hesitate to renew my insurance with them again. For me personally I've saved hundreds. My first year the initial amount you pay first was a little higher than expected but that was down to my little mis hap id had the year previous.. but still hundreds cheaper than normal car insurance and it did come down on my 2nd renewal, so hoping it comes down again next renewal. I've had no mither, my mileage every month is spot on. The initial set up was so easy and straight forward. Im sure if I needed to ring them too id get excellent customer service too. Wish I'd switched to them sooner

I have been with by miles for a number of years now and they are absolutely amazing, especially if you do low milage like myself. The whole setup process is so easy and device is discreet within the car, and the app is brilliant so you can keep a track on how many miles you have done and how much each journey is costing you. You get notifications to let you when your bill is due, how much, and when it's coming out of your bank. You also get rewarded for loyalty (my personal premium and price per mile dropped after each year) which is an extreme rarity these days. Plus if you recommend a friend and they take out a policy, you both get free miles which is an extra bonus. Overall I would highly recommend by miles, customer service has been brilliant on the 1 occasion that I had to contact them. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
