By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

As one of the 'Older Generation' who's had a number of less than blissful experiences with insurance companies, I've only had 5 months experience of By Miles so far but all positive. A long awaited change to car insurance

I’ve been driving for nearly 40 years and have apart from a stolen car over 20 years ago I carnt remember my last claim. I do about 7000 miles a year and can never understand why my insurance is so high. I’m so thankful I found your site on my recent renewal. It’s been a long time waiting that, as a customer we are being treated fairly, paying for what miles we do instead of “one measure fits all”.
