By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Car insurance, indeed all insurance , is a nightmare. Finding an insurance policy that meets the needs of a low mileage driver like myself, is a fair and sensible approach to meeting those needs. By assessing your average annual mileage and paying a lump sum downpayment the on-going costs are based on the actual mileage driven through the year. If your mileage is less than the assessed annual mileage no more miles to pay. If your mileage exceeds the annual mileage, payments are capped at the original policy quote. Win-win! It's obvious and it's honest and there's always good customer service to rely on if things go awry! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Amazing! Why has insurance never been done this way before?!

I can’t see myself ever changing my insurance company again. It’s so nice to be able to know how much your journey will cost you and has saved me so much money. Paying a lump sum each year or a set monthly price versus paying for your miles is a no brainer for me and makes so much sense. I have a motorbike so means summer months I’m not paying for something I’m not using so it’s cheaper for me as I opt to ride the bike instead of drive. Also makes you question whether journeys are necessary at all. I have strongly recommended to all my family and friends! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Probably one of the least stressful transitions into a new policy. Normally I spend weeks panicking over car insurance renewals , but this time it was seamless!! I don’t have to do anything at all . With working in the nhs and needing my car to attended to patients I have to log my mileage , by miles has a mileage tracker so I don’t even need to sit for hours writing what I have drove each day it’s all done for me !!
