By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Cannot fault the price, I did shop around, thought a mistake had been made because it was so much cheaper, spoke with online chat, who went through every query that I had, and reassured me the price was correct, double checked it would work with my car, and even sent diagrams of where the plug in point was on my particular car model. I’m 9 months into my insurance and it’s already saved me a lot of money, especially with the pandemic and less driving. I’ve found the app easy to use, it has great features like GPS tracking to show where you parked and can even scan the car for faults. Changing details is easy and they don’t rip you off for making changes, I even got a £20 refund for making a change rather than an extra cost! Customer service always respond quickly and are helpful. I stumbled across ByMiles when doing my insurance renewal. I was a bit sceptical at first when I saw you had to plug it into your car and it would be tracking me but having a look at their website and watching the video put my mind at ease. The Best Car Insurance Policy Ever

After only clocking up about 1000 miles during the Pandemic due to WFH, I decided that at my renewal I had to look for a low mileage insurance policy so that I didn't over pay for my car just being parked most of the time. When I used an aggregator and discovered ByMiles I thought it might have hidden nasty surprises as it just seemed too good to be true. But no, everything about ByMiles is true, exceptionally good customer service, quick responses through the chat and knowledgeable representatives. Speedy refund process. (I sold my car and therefore needed to cancel, but then bought a new one a few weeks later and returned to ByMiles). No hassle with cancelling and even got a refund for sending the first tracker back. Price is very reasonable and love that it's effectively pay as you go. The app is brilliant and, being someone who loves data, I love that for each trip I get pinged to say how much that trip cost and the miles I have travelled. I have recommended to so many friends and family so far and will continue to do so. Thank you ByMiles for the totally groundbreaking concept that you've made available for motorists like me.
