By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

It is a perfect insurance company and I am happy to insure my car with By Miles

I have been with By Miles since April 2019 and I am happy to carry on insuring my car with By Miles! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Best for me

As I do less than 500 miles per year I find and paying by the mile works out just fine for me as my previous insurance policy cost me over £450 even though my mileage was so low. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Cheap, simple and non-intrusive

After my car spent the best part of a year sat in the garage, I realised I had payed a huge premium to have it parked at home. I switched to ByMiles, my insurance has never cost so little, and the switch was a breeze. The app is also great, and helped me track down a fault with my car that I was unaware of, which could have led to serious damage over time. This is the first insurance company I have EVER recommended to a friend, so for that it definitely deserves 5 stars. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Low-cost, flexible car insurance!

By Miles is perfect in helping me track my mileage, and getting little updates on trip costs has been fantastic. Fitting the mileage tracker to my car was really easy, and has worked perfectly. The app update measuring your battery life has been particularly good, as having not used my car as much in the past year its good to have reminders about recharging the battery. Customer Support is also a 10/10 for the times I've chatted to them. Probably the best insurance company around - I've already suggested it to family and friends, and they have, or will be, switched already! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Simple, easy and a personal service when anything is needed

I joined by miles as a didn't need to drive my car so much and they came near the top on my comparison search. Having investigated the company and values and their reviews I decided to go with them and didn't look back. An all round excellent service!

By Miles is ideal for low-mileage drivers. It is extremely cost-effective compared to other providers and comes with the added bonus of highly competent, helpful,courteous, prompt and efficient staff who bend over backwards to answer any queries.
