By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Fairer than most other companies who try to take as much as possible due to my age and car value. ByMiles offered me £1000 below all other providers on compare the market website. I can monitor how much is being taken and get sent an email every month before the money is taken from my account. Handy app and great customer service. Had some trouble when I first got the device but they took care of it in a matter of minutes once I told them on the app chat. I would recommend ByMiles to anyone who wants fair insurance. I've been driving for almost 5 years now and this is my first year with ByMiles. Any issues or updates I've had to make to my insurance, the customer service team was quick to help me.
