By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

More than just insurance!

For a low mileage vehicle policy Bymiles were very competitive. It was only after choosing them I realised other benefits their app provides. My journeys are logged so I can see what the usage charges is, but it also helps me plan better as I know how far / long typical journeys take. It also makes me more aware of environmental impact and whether I can plan journeys to reduce distance. A win for me and the environment!! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

It was the time.

It was already the time for a 'by mileage' insurance before Covid-19 arrived but has been a boon for me and others during the travel restrictions. The reminders regarding batteries were useful and it was such an easy thing to change vehicle. As long as any increase in price next year is reasonable I will continue to be a customer.
