By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Switched to By Miles as we drive less than 5000 miles a year and it just worked out so much cheaper than any other insurance. Very easy to apply, website is clear and simple and the app works brilliantly. So helpful to be able to easily keep track. The referral bonus miles are also a great idea. I changed my car in October 2020, and when comparing insurances by the mile came up, I read the product and was in love, you pay what you drive simple as that! What’s not to love! It’s exact and to the penny. I’ve referred friends on this scheme as I genuinely love the product and vision behind it. I was tired of paying over inflated prices based on miles I may or may not do at a premium. By the miles support team is also fantastic and a pleasure to call regarding any questions. 100% the future of insurances. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
