By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Amazing, fair and the future of car insurance!

ByMiles has been the best car insurance company I’ve ever been with, for a few reasons: - You only get charged if you drive, and works out cheaper than the next cheapest quote (even if you drive 100,000 miles a year) - They value their customers, my renewal quote actually came in cheaper than a new quote online! - Their application is amazing and gives you a lot of metrics on your driving as well as maps of everywhere you go! - As well as all of this, their customer service is impeccable - they go above and beyond for every request, no matter how simple or complex. Simple, clear and fair insurance

I moved to By Miles after seeing little change in my insurance premiums despite driving less. By Miles offered me a fair, clearly explained price to insure my car per mile driven. The app provides useful features like a car health check and the ability to see where your car is parked, as well as see your journies past and present. Customer service is excellent - replies using the online help desk are fast and questions are answered well. This really is the future of car insurance! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
