By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

As I only drive a few miles per year, around 3,000 it is good value for someone like myself. This year will be a lot less! I receive updates frequently from By Miles and I feel like I'm talking to a member of my family when we converse on the phone. I live alone, age 63, and my finances are restricted. As a fairly new driver and struggling to get fully comp until I found by miles. Rang up and asked 101 questions which were all answered without a moments hesitation or frustration. Any time I had a query By Miles sorted it out online immediately or if I needed to speak with someone they rang me back there and then. Excellent product. SO amazing especially with COVID-19 restrictions because like everyone else I had to stay put and that saved money without even trying. Their online portal gives you so many tools and the very fact your car has a free tracker is excellent amazing because I caught out my ex-boyfriend cheating on me! Genuine value for money car insurance - first time in my driving experience.

As a Septuagenarian who has driven for decades and insured many vehicles on three continents, By Miles is the first car Insurance company to truly offer me an insurance premium that genuinely reflects my car usage. As a Septuagenarian, I drive well below the average driver's annual mileage. By Miles is the first insurance company to offer me a premium consistent with my usage and therefore the true risks associated with my driving activities. Apart from the true value for money By Miles offer to motorists (pay as you drive), their system, both hardware and software, is fantastic in showing me exactly how my monthly costs are incurred. Very good insurance company - great during lockdown

They were the cheapest company I found online. And I find it very useful having insured with them during lockdown as I am not doing my usual driving, therefore keeping my insurance cost down. The only reason I didn't give full 5 star was because my previous insurance allowed me to drive any car and I would be insured but with By Miles it was not possible because of the way it works. The tracker is very easy to fit in and the app on my phone tells me how much I drive and the cost. Making ti very easy to monitor everything. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020
