By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Best value and service for low milage users

I rarely use my car, so to only have to pay for the milage I travel saves me a lot of money. I recently put in a claim for damage to my car, the process was simple and the staff very helpful. When I decided I to not complete the claim the cancellation of the claim was actioned quickly with no stress. Would defnitely recommend By Miles. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

I’m amazed at how easy the whole thing was, the app is fantastic and lets me know exactly where I am each month. It also makes you more aware and you think twice about taking those little trips that could easily be made on foot. I love it. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

Great customer service and price

I started using ByMiles when my long-standing previous insurer tried to increase the cost of my insurance at renewal (again). I work locally and have low mileage at the best of times, but am currently working from home and my mileage has decreased significantly in recent months, so their unique service really works for me. I saved over £250 by changing to ByMiles and have been pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service too. They are extremely quick to respond to queries (far better than any insurer I have used in over 30 years of driving) and I have found them to be friendly, fair and efficient.
