Quote rose over £250 between Compare the Market & Ch...

Quote rose over £250 between Compare the Market & Churchill On 24th October 2024, I was forwarded to Churchill via Compare the Market for car insurance. However once forwarded to the Churchill site; the price jumped by over £250. I then queried this increase via a chat box agent who requested that I send him a screenshot of the Compare the Market quote. I did this but he could not explain the increase and suggested that I phone up and speak to Churchill direct!!! I wasted over an hour with him attempting to take out insurance; but lost faith with Churchill; so went to Aviva via Compare the Market and within 15 minutes took out my car insurance. No hassle with Aviva, price as quoted by Compare the Market. Simples! Reviewed on: 26th October 2024

Have Insurers lost the plot?

My policy is due to be renewed soon but the quote I received has an incease of nearly 40%. When challenged I was immediately offered a discount of £50. However I was able to get slightly better cover through a comparison website at marginally less than I paid last year. The business model is flawed as there is no loyalty to customers rather one of quoting a randomly high premium and seeing if it is noticed. Reviewed on: 6th September 2024

I have Car Insurance with Churchill for 4 years now and they always met the need. If another insurance company offered a lower price then Churchill price-mached it and so they kept me their customer. Would definitely recommend. Reviewed on: 5th September 2024
