I'm autistic and dyslexic

I'm autistic and dyslexic and still… I'm autistic and dyslexic and still work full-time and been with coop many years. My tenancy was up 2 weeks ago and the council found me a flat to move into so I spent all my money moving and that includes all my overdraft so I have no money until I'm paid in a week .I called the coop bank to tell them I've 1 pound in electric left and no food in until I'm paid Friday can I have 50 pounds to get electric and abit of food until Friday! They said no and said that I should go to a food bank and they may get me some electric somehow but they weren't sure.i put the phone down ! I'm sitting here hungry and 1.25 left In my emergency electric .coop bank I hate you and how you treat disabled people in a time of need .50 pounds for electric and food until I'm paid but you prefer me to die Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Rude and unhelpful

Everytime I have needed help with my account and contacted Coop Bank. They have either been rude or given me the wrong information. Reviewed on: 15th November 2017

The Co-operative Bank

The Co-operative Bank seems to have cracked it when it comes to customer service - no hard sell, more than happy to search for an answer and always polite and friendly. Their on-line site is also very good. Pages are easy to navigate, load quickly and are easy to read - font size and colour are user friendly. Reviewed on: 15th November 2017

Not friendly or helpful

Customer focused

Love banking with the co-op

Co-op bank is great. It may not have a big presence on the high street but they couldn't make online and telephone banking easier, and with their paying in available through the Post office as well as Co-op bank and Britannia there is no problem for offline transactions either. Customer service is a dream, I have never had a bad customer service/telephone banking issue. They are far quicker to answer the phone than most and are always pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable. I know they've had their ups and downs over the past few years but they have been transparent throughout, and what's not to love about ethical banking with transparency and great customer service?
