fairly good phone customer service

good when you need to contact by phone but online banking never in real time and site constantly under repair Reviewed on: 7th February 2018

good customer service

I switched to the co-op after bad customer experience at my previous bank. Co-op customer service is very good, you get a native English speaker not someone in a call centre thousands of miles away, and they genuinely try to solve your problems rather than parroting a script. Good, basic no frills service

Went to the Co-op for a basic bank account and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Reviewed on: 21st January 2018

Never had a bad experience with Smile The Internet Bank and the packaged bank account for travel insurance is fantastic. I had to use it and there were no problems whatsoever. Reviewed on: 20th January 2018

Current account

This bank offered a great incentive to swap and open an account with it a few years ago. The co-op offered a local branch which was used regularly and always had a friendly counter service. Unfortunately it closed two local banks and now only offers a counter service which is in a main branch over 30 minutes away. However banking online is adequate and easy to use. good customer service, but don't like paying for "benefits" I don't use

The Co-op customer service people are always helpful and seem to genuinely try to solve your issue, rather than just parroting responses from a script. However, the benefits, such as phone insurance, that come with the monthly fee are no use to me. The account comes with a £200 overdraft which is really useful in case an unexpected payment hits which is not covered by the account balance. Reviewed on: 6th January 2018
