Still competitive and good service

I'm still using CBS for savings because they are proactive about increasing interest rates, they keep me informed, their internet banking site works well and they are still competitive. Reviewed on: 14th October 2023

Absolutely terrible

Tried to withdraw funds using electronic trf but their system defaults to my full christian name so my bank did not recognise it. Told to complete withdrawal form for a cheque. 2 weeks later this was rejected because I opened the a/c online and they need specimen signature. Cut a [very] long story short - am still waiting for funds 4 weeks later. Staff all say different contradictory things. Phone line cuts you off. Poorest I have experienced in a very long time. Great rates, increases quickly passed on.

Coventry BS have competitive rates and I like that they are a Building Society rather than a bank. They keep me updated about Bank of England rate rises and are quick to increase their own rates. Reviewed on: 11th August 2023
