Superb local service and care

Since I opened my account at Darlington Building Society I have received excellent service at my local branch. My elderly Mum & my in laws have also switched accounts and receive excellent service and support. I also opened junior savings accounts for my children. All generations of my family receiving excellent, local service and support with our savings. Reviewed on: 2nd April 2026

The best on the high street

Always a warm welcome in branch and helpful staff. Savings accounts have solid rates comparable to other high street banks and building societies. Great provision for young savers. Excellent, hugely varied community outreach and support work to give back locally throughout the region. Reviewed on: 29th March 2026

Earn more with The Darlington

While larger building societies are cutting their rates as soon as a BOE Base rate cut has been announced, Darlington has given their Savers an opportunity to consistently earn a better rate from their portfolio and open to all.
