Prompt service.

I have two savings accounts with Darlington Building Society. Earlier this week I tried to make an online withdrawal from one of these but was only given the option of withdrawing from the other account. I sent a secure message about the problem and received a response within the hour. The problem was rectified, I was able to proceed with the withdrawal online and the funds had been transferred to my bank account by the end of the day. Reviewed on: 28th February 2026

We feel our money is safe with you.

We feel our money is safe with you. We use the internet as little as possible, particularly where money is involved. Having bank books for transactions helps us feeling in control. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Reviewed on: 27th February 2026

Great customer service.

Great customer service. Online banking options are limited but having the branches is great. I found it really useful to speak to someone in person to understand best what to do with my savings. Interest rates for savings are better than many but not the best. Reviewed on: 27th February 2026
