Proud to have been one of the first investors in 1981

I was one of the first investors in the Ecology Building Society in 1981, and have been a saver ever since. The Society has grown, but the staff are as ready to engage as they were when I was a Foundation Share Holder. The AGMs are always a highlight with guest speakers and reinforce how much good the Ecology does to improve and finance interesting community and private developments. Reviewed on: 1st October 2024

Sound values put into practice

I've been a member for 20+ years because the Ecology believes in the things I do, and they walk the walk. Everything works as it should. The interest rate I get isn't the highest, I don't suppose, but it's perfectly acceptable. They work hard to communicate and involve members about how they use their savings. The management evidently believe in the society's values, reporting the decent ratio in pay between the highest and lowest paid members of staff, and working to make teh Society's own operations sustainable. Ethical investment made easy

I hate setting up new online anything, and sure enough, I ran into trouble when trying to get the password, ID and memorable phrase to work in harmony. I rang the helpline with low expectations but was answered quickly by a human who talked me though the quirks of the system. They remained patient despite my ADHD approach to data. I now save regularly and it all works perfectly. I am delighted to be with a properly ethical savings bank. The website is very simply laid out which suits me fine. Reviewed on: 2nd July 2023
