First Direct - the best bank ever

First Direct provides outstanding customer service through their telephone banking service. Staff are friendly, highly competent and helpful. There are no lengthy waits on the phone, responses are immediate. Online services are also excellent. No other bank could compete with this 1st class service Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026

First direct customer service is flawless f.

First direct customer service is flawless. Whenever I call there is no waiting queue, I am speaking to someone in seconds. They also offer free £250 overdraft and now 0% non-sterling transactions. They do not have the best savings rates, but for an everyday bank they are great. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026
