Simply the best

Switch New Account

Fantastic customer service available on telephone. Online banking set up extremely secure more so than High Street banks. Lots of financial products for 1st Account customers well explained by customer services assistant. I have switched from Halifax due to the increase in overdraft charges of 1p for every £6 per day from Jan 2019. First Direct overdraft is free up to £250. Will probably look at mortgage switch too. Customer service is second to none

I have used First Direct since shortly after they were set up, and they have never rested on their laurels. Their web site is very rarely inaccessible, and their call centre is superb - in all these years, only once have I been on hold before my call was answered. What is more, their staff know what they are talking about, rather than recite answers from a pre-defined list of queries. Reviewed on: 25th January 2019

Amazing bank.

I switched from natwest, and first direct’s app blows natwest’s out of the water so I don’t know why natwest keeps winning best app. Also amazing customer service, so so easy to get friendly human help. Genuinely never been so impressed by customer service but it is what first direct are known for, as well as fantastic savings rates and products. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2019
