Excellent Customer Care

I've been a member for over 30 yrs and GCU has helped me furnish my home/keep a car and all while saving at the same time. Customer service is amazing. Reviewed on: 17th July 2022

Positive loan experience.

Took out a loan. It was so easy and straight forward. I liked the way I could select different amounts on the ap to see what amount and repayment terms best suited my needs. Spoke to customer service staff also and they were really helpful and clear. Reviewed on: 14th May 2025

Best rate i could find

I borrowed money from the credit union. I was given a decision within a day or 2. The money was transferred quickly. I found the interest rate to be a lot less than mainstream banks. I liked that the credit union allowed me to borrow less than the minimum requirement of my other banks. I really liked that i could pay a little extra each month if i wanted too without being penalised. There was no issues and i would recommend this service to anyone as i believe the GCU are fair lenders with excellent policy. I managed to pay off my loan early due to the option of additional payments. Reviewed on: 14th May 2025

Excellent customer service for a Loan

I applied for a loan and thought I had submitted the application. However when I called it had not submitted. They took the information over the phone and proceeded with the application, decision and money was paid into in my account within the same day. Great to phone and speak to people directly and have an issue dealt with promptly and with excelllent customer service. Have recommended to family and friends that they join. Easy, reliable, automatic

I rarely have to contact GCU, when I have done it has been easy, friendly and quick. I trust GCU with my finances and the link with my employer makes it so easy! I recommend GCU to anyone when they are thinking about saving or borrowing. I can’t be happier with a service than I am with being a GCU customer. Reviewed on: 3rd August 2022

A lifesaving organisation at time of need.

I have been a member of Glasgow Credit Union for almost three decades. During which time I have saved and borrowed on numerous occasions for a variety of personal items eg tooth implants, property improvements, and even a new car. I have always felt secure that they were there when I needed them. That’s a real bonus in these difficult times to be able to count on their wonderful and much needed service.
