Don't hold your breath for being paid out !

Took out a policy to cover our holiday as I have been waiting for a hernia operation for past 18 months. Unfortunately the week before we were due to fly to cape verde my wife tripped and fell breaking her elbow. She was told by the doctor not to fly due to the injury. We contacted the insurance to tell them we were unable to go due to her being unable to fly. That was June this year.. its now nearly the end of august and we're still waiting for them to refund our losses (£3500) we have had to jump through more hoops to make this claim getting additional doctors letters and paying the doctor to fill out medical forms galore even including a 2 year medical history for her which has zero bearing on a simple trip and her injury. All we keep getting told is there is a backlog of claims. I would lay money on these jokers hoping we dont chase this up and just let it go. Guess again, we'll be going to court of they dont pay out. Easy to use plus have option for 4 levels of cover.

Easy to use plus have option for 4 levels of cover. We find this very useful as own property abroad and do not need cancellation or luggage cover. Just interested in medical cover really. Reviewed on: 20th August 2025
