It was a couple of weeks before Christmas and I realised there would not be enough money to make Christmas, ‘Christmas’ for the family. With very tightly crossed fingers I put in an application to Great Western, fully expecting a thank you but, no. To my delight they said yes! I have spent the last few months repaying and am nearly there. They made our Christmas even better. Thank you GWCU. Please continue the way you are and yes, they deserve recognition for all the people like me, they have helped. Reviewed on: 11th August 2022

Accepts loans when they want to!

Accepted my first loan when credit rating was bad was very appreciative, applied for another after paying off more than half and they declined saying it’s because of my credit rating yet my credit rating was/is a lot better since I got the first loan! Excellent support and customer service

My overall experience was excellent! It was pre-COVID-19. I had just lost my brother and had no money. I was able to be granted a credit union loan (despite my not so good credit record ) for the funeral of my late brother. A very affordable re-payment plan was set up for me that enabled me to pay back the money quickly and best of all, without any stress or unnecessary chase. My overall experience was simply great. Customer service was nothing but empathetic and caring and all round excellent. Reviewed on: 11th August 2022
