Fantastic Help to Rectify a Problem

Because my grandson had two regular savers, his were treated differently to those held by my other three younger grandchildren who had only one each. The rules changed, allowing only one to be help by each child. This caused a lot of confusion but the manager at the Burgess Hill branch (not my local one but I was visiting my son at the time the problem occurred) was fantastic. She resolved the problem in the short term and arranged for a good will payment to be made into my grandson's account. The problem reoccurred close to his regular saver maturing and as I had all the contact details for the Burgess Hill manager, and she knew the case, I contacted her about it. Her staff, in her absence, knew all about what was happening as they had been tracking my grandson's account on my behalf. The problem was dealt with, eventually via head office and the really helpful staff at my local branch in Brentwood. There have been lots of changes in processes at the Halifax which have been confusing for customers and staff but I was deeply impressed with the help I received to overcome a problem caused by these changes. Very easy to transfer

They didn't send me a paling in book or a cheque book. When I phoned to ask for a cheque book I was told I would have to visit a branch with my passport before I could order one. Not very happy Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Extra savings

I easily and quickly opened a savings account which has meant that I'm saving just a few extra pounds without realising it. There was no hassle and I am very pleased with my decision to do it. Now every little extra bit I save goes on special occasions so I realise the worth of saving it. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Amazing Chance To Win!

I opened a Halifax Savers account because each month they give away a lot of cash prizes to account holders that keep a balance of 5K in their account for the whole of the previous month. I believe the top prize is 500k!!! I've got my fingers crossed for a big win! Reviewed on: 6th May 2017

rubbish interest rate for loyal customers

I have had my savings account with them only a couple years and the initial interest rate was pretty good like 0.75%, then it went down to 0.25% and it is now 0.05%... might as well keep it under my bed Reviewed on: 3rd May 2017
