SVR not come down after 3 interest rate cuts. SVR not come down after 3 interest rate cuts. Savings rates have come down. SVR goes up immediately interest rates go up. Gross profiteering imo. Reviewed on: 25th March 2025

Fantastic Service from start to finish

We received an absolutely fantastic and professional service from the Hanley - In particular our mortgage advisor Lana. After a bad experience with a high street bank we approached the Hanley and can not fault the experience in any way. We were kept up to date, emails answered quickly and efficiently. Absolutely everything was easy and professional. We were constantly kept up to date, explanations given in understandable terms - Lana is an absolute star! Reviewed on: 1st November 2018

Lana was lovely, professional and cared

I recently completed on my house purchase with The Hanley. My mortgage advisor was Lana. Lana was amazing. She made the process seamless. She gave us updates throughout. She made us aware upfront of what we needed so we could provide all the documents so nothing would be delayed. She was so lovely and friendly. She even sent us a congratulations card when we moved in, which we both said was a lovely touch. I would recommend The Hanley as they have a fantastic advisor (Lana) and the products offered were really good compared to other lenders. Reviewed on: 31st July 2024

The guidance and support we received throughout, made the whole process as stress free as possible. Choosing a local building society made us feel like we were in very safe hands as we were provided a service that hasn’t been matched elsewhere in our experience. Couldn’t recommend enough. We have been with The Hanley since we bought as first time buyers. They have always looked after us and the recent mortgage renewal process was no exception. They were extremely efficient with sending out our renewal options and were both clear and thorough when talking us through what each of them meant for us. Jane Longmore, Mortgage Advisor, introduced me to a RIO mortgage which fitted my requirements perfectly. She was very knowledgeable, courteous and efficient and had a very pleasant personality. Not pushy at all but explained everything about RIO mortgages that the Building Society offered. My application was completed carefully and thoroughly and everything completed within the expected time line.
