Not a great experience.

Not a great experience. Took ages for my account to be opened, they didn't send me any account information to pay money into the ISA, when I eventually got some details they didn't work. Then they started sending me emails addressed to someone else. I'm glad I wasn't able to transfer any money into this ISA as I am not convinced I would have been able to withdraw it without experience more problems. Reviewed on: 14th February 2024

Reply from Harpenden Building Society Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry to understand that your experience has been far below what you, or I would expect. With regards to your first point, by way of an explanation (and not an excuse) we had been inundated with applications following the launch of a market leading ISA product. As a result we needed to adapt resource to ensure we could process applications in a timely manner. Unfortunately, this impacted our service levels, however we did try and advise customers of likely delays and give timescales on when their application would be processed. I'm very concerned about your other point regarding emails addressed to another person, so perhaps you could contact me at [email protected] and I will investigate this further. Outstanding customer service

Outstanding customer service from Wendy today who dealt with my account application quickly and efficiently, called me back to let me know what was happening and then stayed on the line to make sure I could log in and access my account. Way quicker and simpler than I’ve experienced in a long time! Highly recommended (and their interest rates are great too!) Reviewed on: 6th February 2024

We were Buckingham customers so were very local - it is now a trip out to come to Tring and the service is not as friendly. Would be good if we could use the Buckingham banking hub. Reviewed on: 5th February 2024

The online system forms are terrible, I would not recommend it to anyone. I was rejected for nationall insurance number and home telephone number. Personal interaction with Wendy at the Harpenden branch was brilliant though. Reviewed on: 5th February 2024

Their on-line service works like a dream. Never the least problem logging in or doing what you want to do - unlike so many others. Communication is also very good and now enhanced by their new reular newsletter Reviewed on: 4th February 2024

Pleased with the sevice from Harpenden BS

There were a couple of minor issues with my account set up, however everything sorted in a very customer friendly way by Bev and Claire. The phone was answered without any excessive wait time and customer service overall excellent. Reviewed on: 1st February 2024
