Cash Machines are both hugely expensive to purchase and to manage, in addition to this we would need to make significant changes to our infrastructure to allow our customers to use these. As always, we have to consider the needs of all 20,000 of our members before commiting to thse big ticket items. That being said, there is potential for us to do something along these lines- the project is still very much in its early stages, but watch this space. Thanks again for your feedback. Unfriendly web application

Whilst applying for a bank account it said you could edit pages, if you clicked edit the whole application blanked, not very helpful. Reviewed on: 25th October 2023
Reply from Harpenden Building Society Hi Eileen, Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry to understand that you experienced issues when you edited your details. That sounds incredibly frustrating so can empathise with you. The system should only reset if you edited your initial details (i.e. opening deposit and source of funds). As the product selection is included within this, the system will take you back to the original application screen as it requires you to confirm that the account selection is correct. We are aware that this can be improved and is on our road map for future development. That being said- the system should remember the majority of your details on application so that if you decide to edit, you don't need to re-enter all your details. Everything was going very smoothly until the last hurdle.

The whole online application process was very user friendly, but then at the very end the digital signature page did not load (I waited a whole hour), so I don't know now if my application has been processed or not. Reviewed on: 21st October 2023
