The decision to withdraw third party cheques was not a decision we took lightly. We have to balance our risk appetite and regulatory focus with the needs of our customers, and on this occasion it was felt appropriate and proportionate to withdraw the facility for our savings accounts. Whilst it is unlikely we will reinstate third party transactions in the short to medium term, it is a subject that we will monitor moving forward. I like that there is a branch in my town (Tring), and that I get excellent service whenever I visit. The savings rates are good. The only improvement might be slightly more online functionality. Reviewed on: 28th September 2023
