Straightforward cover

Not good

Was told not to pursue claim against drunk driver who hit my parked car because I didn't get his details before he was taken away in an ambulance by the police. Reviewed on: 24th August 2023

No nonsense

For the first time in 10 years driving, I've stayed with the same insurance company two years in a row. There were no other quotes that even came close to being reasonable. Auto-renewal process made it an easy job this year. Reviewed on: 24th August 2023

Competitive with great level of cover

I have been with hastings direct car insurance and home insurance for a few years. They are competitive and offer a great level of cover. The customer service is really friendly and its easy to get through to them. Also the hastings direct app is very useful and can't save time having all your documents in one place, but also having they ability to make certain changes to your policy. Claim Hell

Wife reversed car into a supermarket sign, damage to rear bumper and side light, took a year to resolve the claim and constant pressure to get the excess back via Go Compare (£250) It took around 15 months to sort out, first time I had to make a claim on Car Insurance and I would not want to go through that again , not sre why it took so long as there were no other parties involved. Needless to say at rewal the price increased signicantly , but alas they were still the cheapest I could find , so stuck with them for another year. Frustrating Claims process and disapointing considering they are one of the UK's largest Insurance Groups. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

Great Service, matched price renewals.

I have been with Hastings direct for 2 years now. Having contacted them for certain updates and changes I can say they are quick to reply back and help you out with your issues. Also with the renewals they matched the price with the lowest quote I could get in the market which is great as then don't have to worry to keep moving around between insurance companies.
