Absolutely useless incompetent bunch of idiots to deal with

They haven't got a clue what they offer, or how they offer it. I called them after having technical issues when trying to open a savings account online and was rudely told that you can't open them online. I had to explain two times that their website clearly has the option of opening it online and was then told maybe it does, but said if you have issues you'll have to come into a branch - what is the point of online banking?? A good reliable company

HSBC are the scum of the earth, over draft charges for being 3p overdrawn, branches shutting down so they can save money, utter cowboys. Reviewed on: 7th February 2017

Too many high charges

There have been a few occasions over the years that I've gone into overdraft because of various things and the fact that they charge for every day is ridiculous I think... I know they have caps on this but still too high Reviewed on: 6th February 2017

Quick and Response Customer Service with Flexible Overdraft

A very customer friendly bank. Great online feature to ask questions without needing to go through a call centre. Very flexible on overdrafts. My online gripe is the upselling at the end of calls but then I just quickly end the conversation. Reviewed on: 4th February 2017

Always excellent service

I have banked with the HSBC for a long time and am anyways impressed with their customer service be that face to face or in the phone. The Internet banking is really easy to navigate and use. When I had fraud committed on my account they made me aware and managed the situation really well. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2017

Local Branch Closures

HSBC has closed my local branch and split it's customers between the two next nearest branches, there was no consultation to see which of the two branches suited the customer best. It is difficult to park in the town I have been allocated so now after been a customer for over 30 years I am looking to leave as I do not feel my custom is of any value to HSBC. HSBC have excellent online banking and live chat help, who have saved me having to call up to answer any questions I have had. I'm a long term customer and won't be switching anytime soon. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2017
