Going Above & Beyond

I have been a member of this Credit Union for over 10 years. I feel they empower those who would normally struggle to open a savings account in a none stigmatising way, and really target deprived areas to promote their services, particularly where door step loan sharks tend to prowl. The staff are extremely friendly and none-judgemental, always putting the customer first, whilst helping to solve any barriers to accessing funds. They strive to go above and beyond. HEY Credit Union, who knew?

Brilliant service and support offered by Hull and ER Credit Union. I struggle to get in to the building due to real life pressure. I’m able to do all my business and banking with them online or over the phone. Staff are brilliant and always helpful. What’s more important never in a queue on the phone or on hold for having to listen to music. HEY CU pick up the phone every time and immediately. My business with them usually completed within a minute or two. I never part leaving disappointed or frustrated. They know me, my business and they are small enough as a union in which I feel I know them. They deserve all the plaudits and recognition that come their way. Another observation from when I’ve physically gone in the building to bank is that they invest in training their staff. They also believe in giving younger people opportunities in the work place and banking. Thus demonstrating their commitment to the long term aims, objectives and future of HEY Credit Union. They have a local branch!

They have a local branch! All the big banks are closing theirs but you can actually go in to the credit union and deal with real people instead of AI chatbots! They’re friendly, professional and local. Reviewed on: 26th May 2025
