Going Above & Beyond

I have been a member of this Credit Union for over 10 years. I feel they empower those who would normally struggle to open a savings account in a none stigmatising way, and really target deprived areas to promote their services, particularly where door step loan sharks tend to prowl. The staff are extremely friendly and none-judgemental, always putting the customer first, whilst helping to solve any barriers to accessing funds. They strive to go above and beyond. I joined the HEY credit union so I could save for Ch...

I joined the HEY credit union so I could save for Christmas. It’s great for peace of mind knowing that you don’t have to worry about finding extra money at the most expensive time of year. I can easily access the account information and I love the fact that you aren’t able to withdraw any of the money until November up until Christmas Eve. I’ve had no issues and I’ve recommended other family and friends to join. It’s great also that it’s local and supports people in Hull and East Yorkshire. Reviewed on: 9th July 2025

Better saving than hiding cash in a sock drawer

I'm using the savings product. This actually allows You to save, because the money is not immediately available (no card and no easy transfers means it is difficult to spend). Besides it's local, community owned and community run - so Your savings don't help filling billionaire pockets. Reviewed on: 9th July 2025
