Fast, friendly, superb value and they CARE about you

On the few times Ive had to claim with Laka their customer service has been exceptional. They guide you through the process step by step in to ensure the claim is as easy as possible for you, and I have received goods way within 48 hours of my claim. 110% would reccomend Reviewed on: 6th August 2019

Brilliant concept and incredible service. Love the idea of an insurance scheme funded by the community and an insurance company that wants to do the right thing for its customers. Oh and they're friendly, efficient, responsive and helpful too. If you're a cyclist and want a much better type of insurance (which benefits you and the wider cycling community too) then I'd encourage you to check out Laka. Having claimed for my stolen bike with Laka, I can definitely vouch for their speed and helpfulness. They've got a new bike to me within the week. I'm glad I chose them as my insurance. Not having a flat rate and paying for other Laka claims is great too. My monthly fees have ranged from £4 to £20. I tend to think insurance companies are evil but Laka certainly isn't an evil one. Laka have been nothing short of brilliant since I signed-up earlier this year. I had a couple of claims related to damage and a theft. Jon was on the case right away and ensured I was back on a bike again as quickly as possible. The flexible premium model means some months I pay very little for what is a top-notch service whilst being far more agile than any other insurance company I have encountered previously. Best insurance company I've ever seen

I'm not prone to hyperbole, so when I say that everything about Laka is better than any other insurance company I've ever dealt with, I really mean it. Signing up is easy, and although the model takes a few minutes to understand, they do a really good job of explaining it on the website, though it could be a bit easier to find the explanations. Any questions are answered swiftly and fully by their amazing customer support personnel (shout out to Henry, who was not only very knowledgeable but also extremely charming). I haven't had to claim yet, but a friend of mine who had her bike stolen only days before tackling a serious sportive (over 150km) had a new ride within two days, barely even missing any training! If I could give them six stars I would. Keep up the good work Laka, I know that I'm not the only one waiting for more products with eager anticipation - I wish you could cover everything!
