A brilliant website that supports a clear and extremely helpful financial service

I have been a member of Manchester Credit Union since 2011. I have had a loan with them that was affordable and the repayment was easier than any other loan repayment I have experienced. The website is clear, easy to navigate, holds all necessary relevant detail for any action I require within my account. The recent addition of the Xmas Saver account option is in my opinion an outstanding benefit. I find the staff at Manchester Credit Union very helpful. I am indeed a very satisfied customer. Always been fast and responsive, and an absolute lifesaver in times like these the whole process is so simple, just go on app and everything is literally there for you to click to make things smoother and easier. Great experience & customer service

MCU helped me immensely when I was struggling over Christmas & out of work a few years back. The process was really easy & the customer service was brilliant. The app is very simple to use & I can top my loan up every year if needed. I also withdrew my savings from it last year & completely renewed my loan which meant I didn’t have to worry about school uniforms! The money was in my bank within a couple of days. I once had an issue with renewing so I rang them and they got it sorted within a few minutes and the money was sent straight over. I know loans aren’t supposed to be ‘the answer’ but when you’re struggling and on low income, these are a fantastic resource that can be used. Reviewed on: 24th June 2025

5 star I’ve had a fantastic experience with my credit union. The ease of use is one of the standout features — everything from managing my account to making repayments is simple and straightforward. I especially appreciate the low repayments, which make borrowing feel manageable and stress-free. One of the best options for me has been the Family Loan — it’s flexible, with fair terms, and has really helped me handle expenses without the pressure of high interest. I also use a savings account, which makes it easy to put money aside regularly and build up a little safety net.
