Good service

Good local Building Society

On the whole I think Mansfield Building Society is good but not so sure the interest rates are now always as competitive as they used to be. I was a bit surprised to find out that my older monthly savings account had a lower rate than the current newer rate which was on offer, I had saved a substantial amount so made a difference. I don't think that is good to reward new savers rather than the loyal ones who have had accounts longer and think that needs to be addressed ideally. Look after the ones that have supported you. Excellent efficient service

I contacted the Mansfield Building Society by phone. The call was answered by Lisa who took my details and very efficiently posted out application forms the same day. I returned the completed forms promptly and just under a week from my phone call my new account was opened and I had received the passbook. Reviewed on: 4th April 2023

Modernisation required

Arrived at the branch having travelled 20+ miles to find the appointment I believed I had made had not been logged by the individual I had arranged it with.. However the branch staff jumped to and satisfactorily executed my wishes to transfer monies form an existing account to a new account. Found the manual process somewhat 'clunky' by modern standards, Would have expected to be able to execute on line as an existing member. Also the interest rates on accounts appear to be below that of many other on line banks and even my own bankHSBC!! Reviewed on: 4th April 2023
