I am largely happy with all the features the Mettle account offers. The only frustration I encountered was when I need to settle my Corporation Tax bill which was £30k+ and the account payment limits of £10k per transaction made the payment to HMRC less than optimal. Equally under normal circumstances I would expect banking systems to place a fraud flag on someone payment £10k to the same recipient three times on the same day. For a business account the £10k limit was an unexpected constraint. Reviewed on: 28th January 2026

Extremely satisfied customer of Mettle!

My experience with Mettle has been nothing short of outstanding. As a newly started sole trader I have been looking for a business account thats inexpensive and easy to manage with an app. I chose Mettle after reading reviews and I am very impressed by their app and their service. Very easy to manage and the app also comes with the Free Agent software subsription too which comes in handy with preparing my tax return. Overall, I am very impressed and would recommend to anyone.
